Description

Integrated Drawing work time is an option for our hybrid students who need dedicated time to work on their offline/out of class work with access to their instructor for questions or support or just because they work better outside of their home and with someone checking in on them.  Open to community students ages 14-18 who love to draw in the company of others.

Integrated Drawing Work Time

Fridays, 10:30-11:55am; enrollment in Integrated Drawing 1 course is not required to participate.  See details.

Registration is for the Spring 2026 semester.

Required Materials

Students should bring all of their individual work materials with them.  This includes all of their art materials and supplies. Use of a laptop is not generally required nor welcomed during this time dedicated to drawing.

Additional Time Required To Complete Assignments

Integrated Drawing students will not be able to complete all of their assigned homework during these time blocks but should be able to get a solid start.

What Does Class Time Look Like?

Consider these time blocks to be independent work time.  Integrated Drawing students have access to their instructor for questions, clarifications or ideas.  If their classmates are also enrolled in this work block, they may be able to work together with an instructor checking in to be sure they are balancing socializing with productivity.  Community members are also able to work in this time block, but Integrated Drawing students will not have the time to explain their assignments in detail to community participants.

For Integrated Drawing students that are struggling with concepts, managing their workload or need some additional ideas or techniques to help with their work – that will also be provided.

Parent Considerations
This is a teen-oriented open period which is effectively a study hall for illuminat-ED Integrated Drawing students with access to their instructor for help with challenges as needed.  Students should come prepared to work with all of their materials.  Community members are also able to work in this time block, but Integrated Drawing students will not have the time to explain their assignments in detail to community participants.

If you have a child that struggles with lightly supervised time, please contact us before registering to be sure the structure of our class is a good fit for your child.  This block is for light supervision and the occasional check in more than direct supervision.
